"Kenny (and I) had the great pleasure of witnessing a young man with world-shattering ability, whose concepts and technique on the drum set defy description Alejandro Sanguinetti is a natural drummer who, at any time, will astound you with a startling and most brilliant array of cross-stick patterns (undoubtely his forte) in any combination and at any speed, which most of us would regard as not physically possible. Much of Alejandro's artistry is the ability to manoeuvre round the drum set with such fluidity, power and speed, every pattern being utterly precise and highly musical. In short his talent in this area alone is frightening, breathtaking and quite brilliant. Alejandro is a natural teacher and will not simply play for the sake of it without a full explanation; this, incidentally, is very necessary, as he executes figures wich many of us would find difficult to comprehend, especially at the speed he usually chooses to play them."

Fritz Wöbs, "Rimshot" Magazine, Germany, June 1988"His style is extraordinary After his solo and explanations, the public and the tribune of professionals (Vinnie Colaiuta, Simon Phillips, Gerry Brown, Sonny Emory, Rick Latham, Danny Gottlieb, etc.) were fascinated by his original way of playing."

"Alex Sanguinetti, a drum virtuoso."
Newspaper "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" Frankfurt, Germany, April 30th, 1986"...to warm up he (Alex Sanguinetti) played a structure 4/4 in Latin Jazz with breaks at such a speed and precision that made Danny (Gottlieb), who was standing next to me, scream. Later he explained how he developed such an incredible style..."

"Sanguinetti, once again, amazed everybody with his unique style, not only with his display of cross-sticking (developed by him further than any drummer), or the polyrhythmic complexity of his phrases, but also because he integrates all these elements in a style of great musicality executed with such precision that delivers a lot of confidence and clarity to the group."
M. Carrizo, "Music Shop" Magazine, November 1996
"Of the Concepción (Chile) concert the best in quality and feeling was Gail Winters, with (Daniel) Lencina, (Ari) Roland, (Danilo) Pérez and (Alex) Sanguinetti. Also "Oleo" with Fernández, Lencina and (Jim) Rotondi on trumpets and the same and extraordinary rhythm section: Perez, Roland and Sanguinetti, together with (Fareed) Haque, (Joe) Lovano, (Marcos) Aldana..."
Jorge Lardone, "Todo el Jazz" Magazine, 1992"The 23 year old argentinian drummer Alejandro Sanguinetti is a young drum star on the small argentinian Jazz scene. He learned by himself his modern jazz drum technique from books, methods and records for which he had to create his own methodology. The result of this amazing effort: An incredibly virtuoso technique."
